Ayub’s mum said he wanted to be a barrister after he is stabbed multiple times outside Waitrose, West Kensington

First picture of aspiring barrister Ayub Hassan, 17, who was stabbed to death outside Waitrose supermarket near West Kensington tube station yesterday.

The teenager’s family said he wanted to become a barrister. His mother Siraad Aden, 38, from White City, west London, told the Evening Standard: “He was a wonderful boy, I remember everything he said. He was lovely, he looked after me. He wasn’t only a son, he was my best friend. We want justice.”

His aunt said Ayub dreamed of becoming a barrister. She said: “When he was in the house he liked to play games, and he went out to play football with his friends. His dream was to become a barrister.”

Ayub, a student at Hammersmith College, became the fifteenth stabbing fatality in 17 days after he was stabbed multiple times to death in front of horrified workers.

A local doctor tried desperately to save his life but he died later in hospital.

Police confirmed today that three teenage males, aged 15, 17 and 18, were arrested this morning on suspicion of Ayub’s murder.

Yousef Bahadory, who owns a local dry cleaners close to the murder scene, said: “The boy was on the floor. There was so much blood. Someone went to get a doctor from the surgery nearby and she was pumping his chest.”
